Stars Over the Wichita's - Conducted by the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Programs are intended for individuals and family groups. Children must be at least eight years of age.
Participants will search and locate major constellations and other heavenly bodies. Bring your own binoculars and a lawn chair.
Program begins 30 minutes after sunset. Meet at Boulder/Lost Lake picnic area entrance gate. Gate is located by traveling approximately 1 & 1/2 miles west of Camp Doris, then turn left into the Boulder picnic area.

United Way Breakfast & Campaign Kick-off - 18th Annual United Way's Day of Caring Breakfast, 8am, Worley Center, Great Plains Technology Center, Lawton. RSVP to Erin, 580.355.0218

12th Annual Body vs. Earth Triathlon - It’s almost time for the 12th Annual Body vs. Earth Triathlon! The event takes place on Saturday, September 11th at Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area (LETRA). It begins at 8 a.m. and includes a 500 meter swim, 18-mile bike race, and 4-mile run. Fees are $25 for Military, $30 for Civilians, and $85 for teams (mixed, male or female). Add $5 for same day registration. This event is open to the public. Participants may register online at www.sillmwr.com, in person or by mail. Spirit of Survival Training Program - Wellness Challenge Event
